Notice the signs
Observe
Remove stored items, dry reachable surfaces, and observe the cabinet while idle, during hot and cold flow, with a full basin draining, and during a safe appliance cycle. Watch the highest first wet point rather than following the puddle downhill.
Protect the room
Safety line
Disconnect power before any authorized disposal work and never reach through water toward a cord or outlet. Avoid coating a wet joint with sealant or moving an appliance in a way that strains its lines.
Material note
Local boundary
A plumber may cover supply and drainage connections, while appliance internals, damaged cabinetry, flooring, electrical work, and drying can sit outside that visit. Put each boundary in the estimate.
Service flow
Written scope
List every included connector, stop, strainer, trap, filter, disposal joint, appliance branch, access step, basin removal, counter protection, reassembly, and leak test. Exclude unspecified cabinet repair explicitly.
Close the loop
Verification
Repeat only the cycle that exposed the leak once the area is safe, then inspect each connection during use and after it stops. Photograph dry joints and note any material left damp for restoration follow-up.
